Young Matt Damon was so handsome. So, so handsome. It'd be the really, really good looking ones that are serial killers. The film had some creepy moments. Creepy Matt. I wish the film leaned into that more. Like it was a little creepy. But I wanted to feel even more uncomfortable. Turn off the TV uncomfortable.
Young Jude Law was handsome too. Cate Blanchett did Cate Blanchett things. She's like Leonardo DiCaprio. One dimensional. Every movie she's in is the same. Gwyneth Paltrow was the weakest link for me. She was giving Kendall Jenner. A pretty face and not much else. I was reading reviews for the film. One critic stated something along the lines that The Talented Mr. Ripley is a film where the audience wants to see the criminal, Tom Ripley, succeed, to continue to get away with his crimes. Speak for yourself. I do not want that. I want Tom to be caught and justice to be served. I was pissed that Tom got away with murder, again and again. I hate when bad guys win. Life is so unfair. I like to think that one day, Marge crosses path with Meredith. The ladies then join forces to take down the talented Mr. Ripley. Someone make a movie about that. Feb. 4, 24. |
