There is no film like Kill Bill. I just finished writing the review for Wake Up Dead Man and I said, western thriller films got no style. That's because Quentin Tarantino used it all on this one film. Style overload. I applaud Quentin Tarantino for his creativity and for paying homage to Chinese and Japanese culture and cinema.

I view Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 as one film. They were made as one film. They were released separately, because the combined runtime was over 4 hours.

I thought the first film was more complete as a standalone film. There was an origin story, build up to that big finale. The second film didn't have that more traditional plot progression. The ending was tamed, not a big spectacle like the first film.

Uma Thurman is a great name and an excellent actress. She was phenomenal as the Bride.
