I want it crazier. The film didn't quite climax. It was just not satisfying. Turn Natalie Portman's character into a complete paranoid psycho, the delusional victim turned villain. That's what I want. That's what this film needed.

Natalie Portman won an Oscar for her performance in this film. I don't understand the fuzz. Natalie had one good moment the entire film. Near the end, when she was dancing as the black swan, the camera panned to her face and she glared back at the camera. That was chilling. For the rest of the film, she tried too hard. Frowns are cheap. Squeezing your triangle of sadness to showcase you're in distress is surface acting. She's not disturbed. She's pretending to be disturbed. Surface acting is not worthy of the Oscar trophy.

During the 2011 award season, Mila Kunis picked up a couple acting nominations. Which scene Mila Kunis was in was nomination worthy? She just played... herself? Some critics were surprised when the Mom was nominated at the BAFTAs instead of Mila Kunis. The Mom was better. If there was a supporting performance that deserved acting nominations, it was the Mom. She was creepy. She made the film more uncomfortable.

The best part about the film was the man behind the camera, Darren Aronofsky. His signature style really shined. I'm a big fan. The story, while, in my opinion, needed more out-there craziness, was cohesive and complete. I also liked the color scheme selected for the film, black, white and pink.
