I read that Berlin Syndrome, the film's title, is a play on Stockholm syndrome. Stockholm syndrome is the symptom when a captive feels affection towards his or her captor.
I watched the film in short segments. Not because it's bad. These days, films with a lot violence are becoming increasingly hard to watch. I had to pause the film frequently from the anticipation of the next, unexpected violent scene. I can only stomach small bits of graphic content at a time.
Teresa Palmer puts up a strong performance. She reminded me of a less awkward Kristen Stewart. Sep. 26, 22.
